Happy Friday, Patriots,

In a surprise moment on the world stage, Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado dedicated her Nobel Peace Prize win to President Donald Trump, crediting him for his “decisive support” in Venezuela’s fight for freedom.

Machado — the first Venezuelan ever to receive the award — praised Trump and the United States as “principal allies” in her nation’s struggle against Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship.

Her public tribute follows Trump’s recent Middle East peace breakthrough and highlights his growing reputation abroad as a force for stability and democracy.

Trump reposted her message on Truth Social, calling it a “great honor” through aides.

Around the world, people are celebrating President Trump for his historic peace deal in the Middle East that brings all hostages home and ends the Gaza war. Remarkably, even left-wing personalities and news outlets are reluctantly admitting that Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for achieving what many said was impossible. While both sides praising the president is truly rare, naturally many on the left are performing mental gymnastics to find ways to throw criticism at Trump despite this obvious win.

Meanwhile, as the government shutdown continues, New York Attorney General Letitia James, who viciously went after the president, now finds herself indicted on bank fraud charges, proving once again that no one is above the law. As we end another eventful week on a high note, President Trump will reportedly travel to the Middle East this weekend to finalize the peace agreement and meet with freed hostage families.

Check out all the latest developments and more below!

⚖️ Trump and Oregon Clash Over National Guard Deployment
Lawyers for President Trump and Oregon clashed before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals over Trump's deployment of National Guard troops to Portland, with the three-judge panel appearing deeply skeptical of the state's case. Oregon Assistant Attorney General Stacy Chaffin argued the protests didn't meet the standard of "rebellion" needed to justify deployment, but judges sharply questioned her claims that Trump's descriptions of violence were "untethered from reality." Justice Department attorney Eric McArthur maintained Portland meets the criteria of an "active threat" and that the federal government cannot carry out the law without National Guard help. Judge Ryan Nelson, a Trump appointee, interjected that "even President Lincoln" might not be able to authorize force under Oregon's "much more stringent reviewability standard." Roughly 200 National Guard troops remain just outside Portland's city limits pending the court's ruling.

🗳️ Trump Predicts Schumer Retirement Amid Shutdown
President Trump predicted Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer will retire rather than face a primary challenge, saying "right now, I don't think he can beat anybody" and "his polls are so bad." Trump's comments came during a Cabinet meeting as the government shutdown continued into its ninth day, with Trump accusing Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of "holding the entire federal government hostage." Trump noted that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had said Republicans could come to her office to negotiate anytime, adding "she's taking Hakeem Jeffries' place, and Schumer's afraid that she's gonna run against him." Schumer told Punchbowl News that "every day gets better for us" during the shutdown, prompting Trump to say Schumer was "acting not to serve the people, but to serve the partisan interests of his party." Axios reported in September that Ocasio-Cortez is laying the groundwork for a Senate or presidential run in 2028.

🚨 New York AG Letitia James Indicted on Fraud Charges
A federal grand jury in Virginia indicted New York Attorney General and Trump adversary Letitia James on bank fraud charges and making false statements to a financial institution related to her purchase of a home in Norfolk. Prosecutors allege James falsely claimed the property as a second residence to secure better loan terms before leasing it to tenants, with U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan stating James faces up to 30 years in prison per count and up to $1 million in fines. James denied wrongdoing, calling the charges "baseless" and "political retribution," noting that Trump's "own public statements make clear that his only goal is political retribution at any cost." Rep. Elise Stefanik said James "weaponized her office to go after Trump and his allies" and noted the "hypocrisy" of James campaigning on "no one is above the law" while facing allegations of the same type of financial misrepresentation she pursued against Trump. Democrats including Chuck Schumer, Jerry Nadler, and Gov. Kathy Hochul rallied to James' defense, calling the indictment a "weaponization of the Justice Department" and an "abuse of power."

🛥️ Cabinet Applauds Trump's Columbus Day Proclamation
President Trump's White House staff broke into spontaneous applause when Trump signed a proclamation honoring Christopher Columbus, with Trump declaring "we're calling it Columbus Day" and "we're back, Italians." White House staff secretary Will Scharf explained that Columbus was "a great Italian explorer" who sailed the Nina, Pinto and Santa Maria across the Atlantic in 1492, adding the holiday is "particularly important for Italian Americans who celebrate the legacy of Christopher Columbus." Trump quipped that "the press actually broke out in applause" and said "I've never seen that happen." Columbus Day has been a federal holiday since 1971, though activists in recent years have worked to disassociate the day from Columbus in favor of celebrating Indigenous Peoples' Day,. Former Vice President Kamala Harris stated in 2021 that explorers "ushered in a wave of devastation for Tribal nations" and Americans should "not shy away from this shameful past." Trump also signed a separate proclamation honoring Viking explorer Leif Erikson, who is credited with discovering the coast of Newfoundland more than 1,000 years ago.

President Trump secured a historic peace agreement between Israel and Hamas, ending a two-year war and bringing all remaining hostages home. The first phase of Trump's 20-point peace plan requires Hamas to release all hostages within 72 hours, with Israel withdrawing troops to an agreed-upon line as the first steps toward lasting peace. Trump announced the breakthrough, writing that "ALL of the Hostages will be released very soon" and thanking mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey for their work alongside his administration.

Global leaders rallied behind Trump, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stating simply that Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. President Isaac Herzog offered "endless gratitude" and said there is "no doubt" about the recognition Trump has earned. Argentine President Javier Milei pledged to sign Trump's Nobel nomination, calling the achievement an "extraordinary contribution to international peace." Rep. Nancy Mace declared Trump the "President of Peace," while Rep. Dan Crenshaw argued that if Trump doesn't receive the award, "no one deserves" it. Families of Israeli hostages sent a letter to the Norwegian Nobel Committee stating that "no leader or organization has contributed more to peace around the world than President Trump."

Israelis flooded Tel Aviv's Hostages Square wearing Trump masks, waving American flags, and holding "We Love Trump" signs in scenes of euphoria. Pro-Israel activist Lizzy Savetsky suggested the Nobel Prize should be renamed "the Donald J. Trump Peace Prize because this is historic." Farmers plowed "Nobel 4 Trump" into fields, while crowds in Israel and Gaza were heard chanting "Nobel Prize to Trump." The Hostage and Missing Families Forum expressed "deep gratitude" to Trump and his team for the leadership and determination that led to the "historic breakthrough."

MSNBC panelists praised Trump's achievement, with presidential historian Jon Meacham stating that "even if someone with whom you disagree about 99 things, does the 100 really well, you should say so, because that's what intellectual honesty is." Washington Post columnist David Ignatius noted that Trump "was able to do what former President Joe Biden was not," crediting Trump's decisive intervention when he told combatants "this war must end." The New York Times' David Sanger wrote that Trump's role in securing the deal is his "pathway to the Nobel Peace Prize," stating that if the peace plan moves forward, Trump "may have as legitimate a claim to that Nobel as the four American presidents who have won the peace prize in the past."

Celebrations erupted in Gaza after Israel and Hamas accepted the first stage of a Trump-brokered plan aimed at ending the conflict in Gaza.

Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem and the top Catholic authority in the Holy Land, celebrated the agreement as "wonderful news." The Cardinal, who had offered himself in exchange for hostages shortly after the attacks, said "now we have to rejoice about this important step that will bring a little more trust for the future and also bring new hope." Pope Leo XIV expressed optimism about Trump's proposal, calling it "a realistic proposal" and hoping Hamas would accept within the established timeframe.

Trump's special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, worked with Arab partners to develop relationships across the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. The plan pulled together ideas from throughout the Arab world and Britain, uniting them with the full weight of U.S. support behind a single comprehensive framework. The agreement envisions the release of 250 life sentence prisoners plus 1,700 Gazans detained after October 7, 2023, once all hostages are freed. Long-term, the plan includes amnesty for Hamas terrorists who "commit to peaceful co-existence and to decommission their weapons" and the creation of new leadership for Gaza.

Trump said he expects the hostages to be released Monday and said he would "likely" travel to Israel this weekend to help with the signing of the agreement. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick stated unequivocally that "President Trump should receive the Nobel Peace Prize," while Trump's administration indicated preparations are underway for meetings between the president, Netanyahu, and freed hostage families. The White House noted that while Trump "deserves the Nobel Peace Prize many times over, he doesn't care about recognition – only saving lives."

HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said on Thursday that "Trump derangement syndrome" has reached pathological levels, while pointing to pregnant moms protesting the administration by taking Tylenol.

🍟 Quick Bite News 🍟

💊 HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said "Trump derangement syndrome" has reached "pathological" levels after watching a pregnant Columbia medical professor ingest Tylenol on TikTok to protest Trump, despite reports linking the medication to autism. Kennedy stated that "any mother who is taking this up during pregnancy just to get back at Donald Trump is doing something that is pathological." Kennedy told the Cabinet that autism rates have skyrocketed from 1 in 20,000 eight-year-olds in 1970 to 1 in 12 for boys today, calling the trend a "national security issue."

The Senate voted 51-48 to block a measure aimed at stopping President Trump's practice of ordering strikes against vessels allegedly trafficking drugs, with two Republicans - Rand Paul and Lisa Murkowski - joining Democrats in support of the failed motion. Democratic Sen. John Fetterman was the only member of his party to vote with Republicans against the discharge motion. War Secretary Pete Hegseth posted about a strike earlier this month, declaring that intelligence "confirmed that this vessel was trafficking narcotics” and vowed, "these strikes will continue until the attacks on the American people are over."

⚖️ A federal judge blocked the Trump administration from forcing recipients of federal teen pregnancy prevention grants to follow new rules targeting "radical indoctrination" and "gender ideology," with U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell ruling Trump's order was "motivated solely by political concerns, devoid of any considered process or analysis." The ruling marked a victory for Planned Parenthood affiliates who sued to block enforcement of HHS policy changes that stated taxpayer dollars would "no longer support content that undermines parental rights, promotes radical gender ideology, or exposes children to sexually explicit material."

😂 The White House issued a blistering response to former Vice President Kamala Harris after she suggested the administration is filled with "crazy" people. Spokesman Kush Desai stated "Kamala Harris should listen to an audio recording of her cackle before calling anyone crazy." Harris said at an invite-only Los Angeles event that "there's so much about this moment that is making people feel like they've lost their minds. When, in fact, these mother---ers are crazy," though she did not identify the Trump administration by name.

📺 Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel said he would "love" to have President Trump on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" after his show returned from suspension, telling a reporter "I'll ask him." Kimmel's show was briefly suspended following remarks he made about the suspect in the Charlie Kirk shooting, which the late-night host said were "intentionally and maliciously" mischaracterized. Trump praised Kimmel's suspension and was surprised ABC allowed the show back on the air, posting "I can't believe ABC Fake News gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back." No formal invite for the president to be booked on the show has been given.

God bless,
