🇺🇸 Trump’s Roundtable Announces War on Cartels

Happy Friday, Patriots!

President Donald Trump abruptly ended trade negotiations with Canada on Thursday after accusing the Ontario government of producing a “fraudulent” ad featuring former President Ronald Reagan criticizing U.S. tariffs.

“The ad was FAKE — they used Ronald Reagan’s voice without permission to attack American tariffs,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, calling the move “egregious interference.”

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation confirmed the ad used selectively edited audio from a 1987 radio address and said it’s weighing legal action.

“Canada has long cheated on tariffs,” Trump added. “Now they can’t take advantage of the U.S. any longer.”

The White House confirmed all trade talks with Ottawa are now suspended indefinitely.

President Trump brought together law enforcement leaders and his cabinet Thursday for a high-powered roundtable discussion on the overwhelming success of his Homeland Security Task Forces, which he launched on his first day back in office to dismantle the criminal cartels operating on American soil.

While Trump continues delivering on his promise to make America safe again and clean up the crime-riddled cities left behind by the previous administration, Democrats remain laser-focused on obstructing every common-sense solution he proposes. Their entire playbook has been reduced to reflexive opposition and protecting the very criminals and illegal aliens who threaten American families. With the midterm elections approaching, voters will soon render their verdict on whether the Democrats' strategy of endless resistance resonates with a nation that desperately wants security and sanity restored.

⚖ Senator Reveals Biden DOJ Targeted Trump
Sen. Chuck Grassley released an explosive April 2022 memo Thursday showing that Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland, Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, and FBI Director Christopher Wray personally approved an investigation into Trump campaign associates over alleged efforts to obstruct Congress' certification of the 2020 election. The Iowa Republican posted the four-page document on social media, calling it proof that top Biden administration officials "personally approved" the politically charged case designated as "Arctic Frost" and "unleashed unchecked government power at the highest levels." The memo authorized the FBI's Washington Field Office to open a sensitive investigation examining whether individuals connected to Trump's 2020 campaign conspired to obstruct Congress on January 6th, with the authorization coming more than a year after the Capitol riot and months before Special Counsel Jack Smith was appointed to oversee related probes. Smith later subpoenaed phone records belonging to eight Republican senators and one House member covering the period around January 6th. Republicans have broadly condemned the investigation as inappropriate political surveillance comparable to Watergate, while Smith's attorneys have defended the subpoenas as routine investigative tools that complied with Justice Department policy.

🏛 Trump Terminates Canada Trade Talks
President Trump abruptly ended all trade negotiations with Canada Thursday after learning that the Ontario government created a deceptive advertisement using manipulated audio of former President Ronald Reagan speaking against tariffs. Trump wrote on Truth Social that the Ronald Reagan Foundation announced Canada "fraudulently used an advertisement, which is FAKE," adding that the ad was designed "to interfere with the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court, and other courts." The Reagan Foundation confirmed that Ontario's government used selective editing of Reagan's April 1987 radio address on free trade without seeking or receiving permission to distort his remarks, and the organization stated it is reviewing legal options. Trump declared that tariffs remain essential to American economic prosperity and national security, concluding his social media post with a definitive announcement: "Based on their egregious behavior, ALL TRADE NEGOTIATIONS WITH CANADA ARE HEREBY TERMINATED." The controversy over the $75,000 advertisement represents yet another flashpoint in the increasingly contentious relationship between Trump's administration and America's northern neighbor.

⚖ Trump Warns California Officials to Stand Down
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche issued a formal warning letter Thursday to California Governor Gavin Newsom, Attorney General Rob Bonta, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, and San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins after Democratic officials threatened to arrest federal immigration agents. The letter came in response to statements by Pelosi and Rep. Kevin Mullin threatening prosecution of federal agents who allegedly break California law during immigration enforcement operations, with the Democrats noting that President Trump cannot pardon agents convicted under state law. Blanche forcefully rejected the threats, posting on social media that "We just sent them a letter: Stand down or face prosecution. No one threatens our agents." The DOJ letter cited multiple federal statutes that criminalize assaulting, impeding, or conspiring against federal officers and invoked the supremacy clause of the Constitution, which prohibits state officials from prosecuting federal agents for actions taken in the course of their official duties. Blanche directed California leaders to preserve all communications related to any attempts to obstruct federal law enforcement and warned that the Justice Department will investigate and prosecute any official who violates federal statutes protecting agents carrying out lawful immigration enforcement.

💬 Trump Trolls Democrats with White House Timeline
The Trump administration launched an official "Major Events Timeline" on the White House website that highlights scandals from previous Democratic administrations, drawing immediate outrage from liberal politicians who had criticized Trump's privately-funded ballroom construction project. The timeline includes a photo of Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky with a caption explaining how the president's affair with the intern "was exposed, leading to White House perjury investigations" and noting that "The Oval Office trysts fueled impeachment for obstruction." The administration also featured Barack Obama's 2012 meeting with Muslim Brotherhood members, describing the group as promoting "Islamist extremism" with "ties to Hamas," and highlighted the 2023 discovery of cocaine in the West Wing entrance lobby with speculation pointing to Hunter Biden. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt defended the timeline updates after Hillary Clinton accused Trump of "destroying" the White House and Sen. Elizabeth Warren posted a construction photo claiming Trump's presidency is "Illegal, destructive, and not helping you." Leavitt pointed out that nearly every president has made modernizations and renovations to the White House, noting that Obama himself complained about inadequate event space and had to rent expensive tents for state dinners on the South Lawn.

President Trump speaks during a roundtable on criminal cartels in the State Dining Room of the White House, Thursday, alongside Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Attorney General Pam Bondi listen.

🔔 Trump’s Roundtable Announces War on Cartels 🔔

President Trump hosted a powerful White House roundtable Thursday that showcased the extraordinary results his Homeland Security Task Forces have delivered since becoming fully operational at the end of August. The president established these specialized units through executive order on his first day in office, directing Attorney General Pam Bondi and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem to create task forces in every state specifically designed to eliminate cartel networks and human trafficking operations that flourished under the Biden administration.

The results speak for themselves: more than 3,000 foreign terrorists and cartel members arrested, including operatives from the notoriously brutal Sinaloa cartel, MS-13, and Cartel Jalisco Nuevo Generacion. The task forces have also seized 2 million fentanyl pills and nearly 70 tons of other deadly narcotics, confiscated over 1,000 illegal guns from American streets, and recovered $3 million in currency tied to criminal enterprises. Trump made clear during the roundtable that the cartels represent the most lethal terrorist threat America faces today, declaring them "the ISIS of the Western Hemisphere" and detailing their horrific tactics including beheadings and burning people alive. The president minced no words about the disaster he inherited, stating flatly that Biden "surrendered our country to the cartels" and left behind "just a disgrace."

The military dimension of Trump's anti-cartel campaign has escalated dramatically, with the U.S. conducting nine lethal strikes on suspected drug smuggling vessels since September, killing 37 people in the process. When asked by reporters whether he would seek a congressional declaration of war against the cartels, Trump delivered a characteristically blunt response that left no doubt about his intentions.

The president explained that the cartels are now shifting their operations from sea routes to land-based smuggling after his aggressive maritime interdiction campaign effectively shut down their ocean trafficking networks. Trump revealed he has been in discussions with Chinese President Xi about curbing the flow of drugs, claiming unprecedented progress that has made "the sea drugs almost dead." Secretary of War Pete Hegseth confirmed that U.S. forces carried out another strike Wednesday, destroying a suspected narco-trafficking vessel and killing three suspects in the Eastern Pacific.

Tensions with Latin American leaders have intensified as Trump pursues his uncompromising strategy against drug trafficking organizations. The White House announced Thursday that the president is "not interested" in making peace with Colombian President Gustavo Petro, whom Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt described as an "unhinged leader" after Petro accused the United States of killing innocent fishermen during anti-narcotics strikes. Trump responded by cutting off all counter-narcotics aid to Colombia and imposing new tariffs on the country, while personally attacking Petro as a "thug" who runs "cocaine factories" and warning him to "watch it or we'll take very serious action."

The administration has also ramped up pressure on Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro, with Trump authorizing covert CIA operations inside Venezuela and warning that Colombia could face similar consequences if it continues aligning itself with Maduro's regime. Attorney General Bondi joined Trump at the roundtable and pledged to "supercharge" the work of dismantling cartels and taking their leaders into custody, while the task forces prepare to expand their operations against land-based trafficking routes that cartels are attempting to exploit.

The president also took the opportunity to call out foreign leaders who released prisoners into the United States during the border crisis, noting that Venezuela had been "sending their prisoners into our country" and warning that such actions would not be tolerated under his watch. America is finally treating the cartels as the core national security threat they truly are, and Trump is waging war on them like they have never seen before.

🍟 Quick Bite News 🍟

🗳 Sen. Cory Booker is blaming President Trump for potential food stamp cuts caused by the ongoing government shutdown, despite Senate Democrats continuing to block the House-passed clean continuing resolution that would reopen the government. Booker claimed in a social media video that Trump is "withholding the money because he wants to inflict maximum pain on Americans" and urged the president to release SNAP funding, even though the shutdown resulted from Democrats rejecting Republican negotiations. Senate Republicans are now discussing a bill introduced by Sen. Josh Hawley that would fund SNAP for the duration of the shutdown, with Hawley threatening to force a floor vote if Democrat leaders refuse to schedule one.

💬 ESPN star Stephen A. Smith delivered a stark warning about President Trump during Thursday's "First Take," suggesting the FBI's massive illegal gambling probe that netted NBA figures including Hall of Famer Chauncey Billups and Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier signals the start of a broader crackdown on sports leagues. Smith pointed to Trump's long history with casinos and sports culture, declaring "Trump is coming" and predicting the WNBA could be next on his list due to protests against his administration. The ESPN host noted he hasn't seen the FBI director hold press conferences about athlete investigations before and called it "a statement" and "a warning that more is coming," while sources from major sports leagues told him this scandal is "just the tip of the iceberg."

🏛 President Trump criticized New York City Democrat mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani's pledge to close Rikers Island prison, telling reporters during Thursday's roundtable that while the facility may not be pleasant, "you need it" given the influx of dangerous criminals who entered through the open border. Trump questioned how New York City suddenly found $8 billion to spend on people who "just showed up" through Biden's border policies, and he described foreign gang members as making American criminals "look like the nicest people on Earth." The president specifically highlighted the brutality of Tren de Aragua, the Venezuelan gang that took over apartment buildings in Colorado, detailing how members cut off a victim's finger for calling police and threatened to remove his hand next time.

✈ Vice President JD Vance visited the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem Thursday during his three-day trip to Israel with his wife, pausing to kneel at the stone slab where tradition holds that Jesus's body was placed before burial and resurrection. Vance, who recently converted to Catholicism, is in Israel to show solidarity with the Jewish state and shore up support for President Trump's ceasefire deal in Gaza. The visit coincided with the continued return of remains of Israeli hostages murdered by Hamas on October 7, 2023, or during captivity, with Hamas having returned only slightly more than half of the 28 bodies it is required to repatriate while claiming the rest are difficult to locate.

💰 Coca-Cola announced it will begin selling soda made with cane sugar in the United States starting this fall, following President Trump's July statement thanking the company for agreeing to make the switch and declaring "It's just better." The beverage giant will offer the cane sugar version in 12-ounce single-serve glass bottles in select markets, marking a major victory for Trump's Make America Healthy Again initiative that HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has championed. Kennedy has called high-fructose corn syrup "poison" and linked it to the obesity and diabetes epidemics, advising Americans to "drink a Mexican Coke" if they want Coca-Cola without the controversial sweetener that the company switched to years ago in its American soft drink products.
