🇺🇸 Trump Protects $40 Billion in Benefits
Happy Friday Patriots,
President Trump is heading to Texas today to meet with families and first responders impacted by last week’s catastrophic floods — a disaster now being called the deadliest in state history.
Over 120 Americans are confirmed dead, more than 150 are still missing, and entire communities along the Guadalupe River have been wiped off the map.
Trump made clear he didn’t want to get in the way of rescue efforts earlier this week.
Now, he’ll stand with survivors, hear directly from local officials, and deliver the federal resources they need.
Please continue to keep Texas in your prayers.
We have more of today’s top Trump news for you below.

⚖️ Judge Blocks Trump Executive Order on Birthright Citizenship
A federal judge appointed by former President George W. Bush blocked President Trump's executive order ending birthright American citizenship for U.S.-born children of illegal aliens. Judge Joseph LaPlante of the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire granted a classwide preliminary injunction on Thursday to illegal aliens who sued the Trump administration over the order. The lawsuit is linked to George and Alex Soros's Open Society Foundations, according to the article. The judge found that the class petitioners demonstrated likelihood of success on the merits of their claims and would likely suffer irreparable harm if the order was not granted. The preliminary injunction is stayed for seven days pending appeal, and it applies to various government departments including Homeland Security, State Department, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
🏛️ Trump Imposes 50% Tariff on Brazil Over Bolsonaro Treatment
President Trump announced the imposition of a 50-percent tariff on Brazilian products sent into the United States, citing the "witch hunt" against conservative former President Jair Bolsonaro, which he described as an "international disgrace." The tariff would go into effect on August 1, according to a letter addressed to radical leftist President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. President Trump also cited attacks on free elections in Brazil and attacks against the fundamental right of free speech of Americans as reasons for the tariff, the latter resulting from censorship orders from Brazil's Supreme Federal Tribunal against U.S.-based social media platforms. President Trump warned Lula that if Brazil decides to raise its tariffs on the United States, "whatever the number you choose to raise them by will be added onto the 50-percent that we charge." President Lula responded in a lengthy Twitter post declaring that "Brazil is a sovereign country with independent institutions that will not accept being controlled by anyone" and claimed the information on the alleged U.S. trade deficit with Brazil is "false."
🇷🇺 Russia Sanctions Bill Gains Steam as Trump Changes Tone on Putin
President Trump ripped Russian leader Vladimir Putin's "bull----" during his Cabinet meeting, saying additional sanctions remained on the table amid the three-year war with Ukraine. An effort to advance a blistering sanctions package against Russia and its trade partners is again gaining steam in the Senate, and this time it appears that President Trump is on board. The duo's bill would slap up to 500% tariffs on countries buying energy products from Moscow, effectively placing Russia's war machine in a chokehold by imposing duties on oil, gas, uranium and other exports, largely purchased by China and India, which account for nearly three-quarters of Moscow's energy business. Senator Lindsey Graham believes that President Trump is now on board with the plan after a tonal shift in his opinion of Russian President Vladimir Putin, with Graham stating "I told the president last week about it. He thinks the bill will be helpful." Senate Majority Leader John Thune wants to get the bill on the floor by the end of the month, noting that the upper chamber was working in conjunction with the House and the White House to "get it in a form where it's ready."
📈 Trump Declares U.S. Is Officially 'Back' and Calls for Lower Interest Rates
President Trump declared Thursday that the United States is officially "back" and called on the Federal Reserve to lower interest rates. President Trump took to Truth Social to tout record highs in the stock market and in the crypto universe, where Bitcoin reached an all-time high this week, as well as a lack of inflation. In his post, President Trump wrote "Tech Stocks, Industrial Stocks, & NASDAQ, HIT ALL-TIME, RECORD HIGHS! CRYPTO, 'Through the Roof.' NVIDIA IS UP 47% SINCE TRUMP TARIFFS. USA is taking in Hundreds of Billions of Dollars in Tariffs. COUNTRY IS NOW 'BACK.' A GREAT CREDIT!" President Trump has repeatedly called out Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, accusing him of keeping interest rates high, but the Fed has declined to lower them to this point despite persistent pressure from the president. President Trump, who has dubbed the Fed chair "Too Late Powell," called him out again in a follow-up post Thursday writing "Too Late' DEMEANS THE GREAT CREDIT OF THE USA. We are now, again, the Number One Credit in the World! 'Gigantic Comeback,'" adding that "The Fed Rate should be reflective of this. We should be at the top of the list!!! LOWER THE RATE!!!"

🔔 Trump Protects $40 Billion in Benefits for Citizens 🔔
In the first six-months of his second term, President Trump has delivered on his promise to prioritize American citizens over illegal aliens by implementing the most comprehensive reform of taxpayer-funded benefits in over three decades. The sweeping initiative, which preserves roughly $40 billion in benefits for American citizens, represents a decisive break from decades of bureaucratic defiance that allowed illegal aliens to access programs intended for legal residents.
The Department of Health and Human Services, under Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has moved to bar illegal aliens from accessing benefits offered by the department, reversing interpretations that have been in place since the Clinton administration in 1998. Kennedy's directive affects thirteen additional public programs, including Head Start, health workforce scholarships and loans, mental health and substance abuse support, and family planning services.
The Department of Education has simultaneously ended taxpayer subsidization of career, technical, and adult education programs for illegal immigrants. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon announced that the department is rescinding standards from the Clinton administration that allowed illegal immigrants to access federal funds for these education programs, with the new interpretive rule making clear that illegal immigrants do not have access to Pell Grants and student loans.
Meanwhile, the Department of Labor has issued guidance ensuring that illegal aliens cannot access taxpayer-funded workforce programs and grants. Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer announced that all grantees funded through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act must verify valid work authorization before providing services, reversing Biden administration policy that "incentivized illegal immigration."
The Department of Agriculture has simultaneously restricted illegal aliens from federally funded food assistance programs, while the Department of Justice is closing longstanding loopholes that have allowed illegal aliens to access taxpayer-funded benefits. The Trump Labor Department had previously warned that states could lose federal grant money if they give unemployment benefits to illegal aliens.
Head Start is among the programs included in the updated list of classified "Federal public benefits" to ensure enrollment is reserved for American citizens. Preliminary analysis by HHS estimates American citizens could receive as much as $374 million in additional Head Start services annually as a result of these changes.
The Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act limits eligibility for federal public benefits to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and certain categories of "qualified aliens." However, the Clinton administration issued a Dear Colleague Letter in 1997 that exempted career, technical, and adult education programs from these restrictions, creating artificial distinctions between federal benefit programs that Congress never intended.
Kennedy stated that "for too long, the government has diverted hardworking Americans' tax dollars to incentivize illegal immigration," emphasizing that the action "restores integrity to federal social programs, enforces the rule of law, and protects vital resources for the American people." Labor Secretary Chavez-DeRemer noted that "America's workforce is stronger than ever under President Trump's leadership because he is committed to upholding the rule of law and putting American workers first."
These reforms represent a fundamental shift in how federal agencies interpret and implement benefit eligibility requirements, moving away from decades of expansive interpretations that allowed illegal aliens to access programs intended for legal residents. The comprehensive nature of President Trump's America First agenda in limiting public funds to legal citizens reflects a broader commitment to enforcing the rule of law and ensuring that taxpayer resources serve their intended purpose, creating a unified approach to benefit eligibility that prioritizes American citizens while maintaining the integrity of federal programs designed to serve those who are legally entitled to receive assistance.

Attorney General Pam Bondi speaks alongside President Trump on recent Supreme Court rulings in the briefing room at the White House.
🍟 Quick Bite News 🍟
🏛️ Former Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry told the BBC that "Trump was right" about immigration and border policy during the Biden administration, stating that Democrats allowed the border to remain "under siege" and should have enforced immigration laws more strictly. Kerry acknowledged that the first thing any president should say is "Without a border protected you don't have a nation," though he blamed President Trump for blocking a bipartisan border bill designed to address the issue. Despite Kerry's admission, Democratic leaders recently released a plan that would significantly increase immigration from India, while President Trump faces pressure from business groups to reopen jobs to economic migrants.
📊 A July survey by Cygnal found that 61.3 percent of likely general-election voters support deporting illegal migrants to their country of origin, with nearly 41 percent expressing strong support for such deportations. The poll revealed sharp partisan divisions, with 94 percent of Republicans supporting deportations compared to 68 percent of Democrats opposing them, while independents sided more with Republicans at 59 percent support. The survey also found that 49.5 percent support Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids, and notably, 50 percent of Hispanics polled support deporting criminal illegal aliens to their country of origin.
⚖️ The Department of Justice Antitrust Division will file a statement of interest in an antitrust lawsuit alleging that big tech and big media organizations colluded through the Trusted News Initiative to censor Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s Children's Health Defense organization. The DOJ argues that the Sherman Antitrust Act protects viewpoint competition in news markets and that suppressing competition in the marketplace of ideas constitutes a cognizable antitrust injury. Assistant Attorney General Gail Slater's statement emphasizes that individual liberty and consumer welfare benefit from viewpoint competition in news markets, and that the antitrust laws should apply equally to news organizations as to any other type of commerce.
🚨 The Department of Homeland Security criticized media outlets for suggesting that illegal immigrant pedophiles arrested by ICE in Minneapolis had a "cultural misunderstanding," specifically targeting the Minnesota Star Tribune's coverage of the arrests. DHS detailed the criminal history of arrested individuals, including Chia Neng Vue, who was convicted of criminal sexual conduct with a child under 13 in 1998 and continued to commit crimes after his removal order, including weapons charges and domestic assault. DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin condemned the media framing as "despicable," stating there is no excuse for crimes against children and emphasizing that these criminals are the types ICE officers risk their lives to remove from American communities.
🏈 President Trump received praise from the Native American Guardians Association for stating he would never have changed the Washington Redskins name, with the organization's vice president Frank Black Cloud saying the president's words "validate what Indian Country has been saying for years." Black Cloud argued that the Redskins name was "never a slur, but a symbol of strength, honor, and pride for American Indian people," describing President Trump's stance as standing "with history, with truth, and with American Indian voices that have been silenced for far too long." Current Commanders owner Josh Harris has embraced the team's past in uniform design but remains resistant to bringing back the Redskins name, though the president's involvement may prompt reconsideration.
