🇺🇸 Trump Meets New Canada PM

In partnership with

Happy Wednesday, Patriots!

President Trump isn’t backing down from bold ideas.

In a White House meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Trump revived talk of Canada becoming the 51st state.

When Carney insisted, “Canada is not for sale… Won’t be for sale ever,”

Trump simply replied:

“Never say never.”

He added:

“I’ve had many, many things that were not doable, and they ended up being doable.”

Trump has long argued the U.S. is subsidizing Canada’s defense and economy, telling Time:

“We don’t need their lumber. We don’t need their energy. The only way this works is for Canada to become a state.”

Carney says that’s not happening, but Trump hasn’t ruled it out.

Hey Team! 😎

Trump just showed the world what decisive leadership looks like - standing up to activist judges, challenging political rivals, and forging relationships with allies north of the border.

His relentless America-First agenda advances once again, defending our sovereignty and securing better deals for hardworking Americans. With every bold move, Trump proves he’s the leader we need to keep this country great.

Check out all the latest developments and more below!

🛤️ Trump Slams Newsom’s Rail Project
At a briefing in the Oval Office yesterday, President Trump criticized Governor Gavin Newsom’s embattled high-speed rail project - citing its ballooning cost overruns from $33 billion to over $128 billion - and warned that his administration will withhold the remaining $4 billion in federal funding unless California gets its house in order. Trump framed the rail plan as emblematic of “waste and mismanagement,” saying it distracts from more urgent needs like wildfire response and rural infrastructure. He also teased that Newsom should consider a 2028 presidential run - “if you feel up to it,” he quipped - knowing the rail debacle would be his ultimate campaign albatross

🎉 Trump Inaugurates FIFA World Cup Task Force
President Trump signed an executive order today creating a White House task force to coordinate U.S., Canada, and Mexico preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, vowing it “will be the most successful and secure tournament ever”. He tapped Andrew Giuliani - the son of Rudy Giuliani and a former special assistant in Trump’s first term - as executive director, praising his “unmatched energy and commitment” to delivering a world-class event. The President highlighted the tournament’s projected $50 billion economic boost and nearly 300,000 new jobs, and assured Americans that fan safety and efficient infrastructure remain top priorities.

⚖️ Trump Begins Nominating Judges
President Trump unveiled his first slate of 12 judicial nominees for federal district and appellate courts, emphasizing a commitment to originalist judges who “uphold the Constitution as written”. The group includes three nominees for the Fifth Circuit known for their strong stances on limited government, suggesting the administration’s intent to shape the judiciary for decades. Senate Republicans have already scheduled confirmation hearings, with Minority Leader McConnell praising the choices as “restorative of judicial integrity”.

🛫 Deporting Migrants to Libya
The Trump administration is reportedly preparing to transfer non-citizen migrants intercepted at sea to Libya under a new “transit-state” agreement, bypassing U.S. shores altogether. The plan - aimed at deterring dangerous Mediterranean crossings - would mark the first use of a North African partner to stem migration flows to Europe and America. CBS News reports that human-rights groups are already threatening legal action, calling the policy “inhumane,” while the White House insists it’s a necessary measure to protect lives.

🔔 Trump Meets Canada’s New Prime Minister🔔

In a remarkable twist on diplomacy, President Trump told Canada’s newly installed Prime Minister Mark Carney that he’d consider purchasing Greenland - and by extension parts of Canada - if negotiations over tariffs and resource access falter, prompting Carney to respond that Canada “won’t ever be for sale”. The comment injected a dose of Trumpian showmanship into talks meant to rebalance trade: Trump argued that if Canada balks at fair lumber and dairy deals, “we’ll have to think outside the box - maybe outside the continent”.

Beyond the quip, Trump used the May 6 meeting in Ottawa to press Carney on joint energy projects - proposing a multi-billion-dollar pipeline expansion to boost North American oil exports - and advanced a plan for shared border-security exercises under NORAD. Carney, while firm that Canadian sovereignty is non-negotiable, agreed to “keep talks going” on infrastructure financing and trade rules that Trump says have disadvantaged U.S. manufacturers.

Online reaction was electric: conservative commentators lauded Trump’s creative leverage, while critics warned his purchase line risked alienating a key neighbor. Carney’s “never-for-sale” retort played well domestically, reinforcing Canadian unity against external pressure, while Trump’s, “Never say never” received overwhelmingly positive reactions across social media.

By blending bold rhetoric with concrete proposals, Trump turned a routine diplomatic visit into a showcase of his unorthodox America-First strategy - demnstrating that when traditional talks stall, he’ll even consider writing a giant check to keep U.S. interests front and center. Supporters see the episode as further proof that Trump’s deal-making flair still commands respect on the world stage.
