🇺🇸 Trump Celebrates James Comey Indictment

In partnership with

Happy Friday, Patriots,

President Trump is finally seeing justice catch up to one of his fiercest Deep State enemies.

James Comey—the disgraced former FBI director who launched the “Crossfire Hurricane” Trump–Russia hoax—has been indicted on two federal counts: obstruction of Congress and lying about his role in leaking information.

In an exclusive reaction, Trump told Fox News that Comey “placed a cloud over the entire nation” and nearly dragged America into war with his lies. He called Comey “corrupt” and “a terrible man for what this country stood for.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi was blunt: no one is above the law.

President Trump addressed yesterday’s indictment of former FBI Director James Comey, calling him “a very corrupt person.” Comey’s central role in the Russian collusion hoax will not be forgotten. Trump has made it clear that true accountability for those who undermined his first term, including figures like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, remains long overdue.

In other major developments, Trump signed an executive order approving the TikTok deal, ensuring the platform will continue operating under American ownership rather than under Chinese control. Meanwhile, reports suggest a growing number of European nations may stop buying Russian oil, a shift that could significantly impact the Ukraine war. With all these dramatic moves, the administration closes out yet another eventful week.

Check out all the latest developments and more below!

🌍 Trump Presses Erdogan to End Russian Oil Purchases
President Trump told Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during their Oval Office meeting that he could be "influential" in ending Russia's war in Ukraine “if he wants to." Trump specifically pressed Erdoğan to stop buying Russian oil and gas, stating "the best thing he could do is not buy oil and gas from Russia" while calling Putin's actions in Ukraine "disgraceful." The president said the two main issues for discussion were "war" and "trade," with Turkey currently serving as Russia's third-largest oil importer behind India and China. Erdoğan expressed interest in discussing the potential sale of U.S. F-35 fighter jets to Turkey, which were previously barred during Trump's first term after Ankara purchased a Russian air defense system. Trump indicated that negotiations were ongoing and said they would "come to a conclusion by the end of the day," with the U.S. and Turkey "in great shape" regarding a possible F-16 deal.

📺 Kimmel Mocks Trump Over Show’s Return
Jimmy Kimmel returned to "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and mocked President Trump's Truth Social post expressing disbelief that ABC gave the late-night host his job back, with Kimmel retorting, "I can't believe we gave you your job back!" Trump had written that he couldn't believe ABC would bring back someone "who does so poorly, who's not funny, and who puts the network in jeopardy," and threatened to "test ABC out" on the decision. Kimmel addressed his controversial comments about Charlie Kirk's alleged shooter, tearfully stating it was "never" his intention to "make light of the murder of a young man" and praised Kirk's widow for her act of forgiveness. The host also responded to Trump's criticism of his ratings by saying "He knows bad ratings, he has some of the worst ratings any president has ever had!" Nexstar Media Group and Sinclair Broadcast Group announced they will continue preempting Kimmel's show while engaging in discussions with Disney executives about ensuring the program "reflects and respects the diverse interests of the communities we serve."

🕊️ Trump Unveils 21-Point Gaza Peace Plan
President Trump unveiled a 21-point initiative to end the Gaza war during meetings with Arab leaders at the United Nations General Assembly, with a White House official stating the plan includes "the return of all hostages living and deceased, no further attacks on Qatar, a new dialogue between Israel and Palestinians for peaceful coexistence." Arab officials described their discussions with Trump as "productive" and pressed him to confirm he would block Israeli annexation of the West Bank, while expressing broad agreement that Trump was "the only one who could end the fighting in Gaza." U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff presented the plan to officials from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia and Pakistan, saying it "addresses Israeli concerns as well as concerns of neighbors in the region." Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas declared readiness "to work with U.S. President Trump and with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and France, the United Nations and all partners to implement the peace plan."

📱 Trump Signs Executive Order Approving TikTok Deal
President Trump signed an executive order approving a deal to allow TikTok to continue operating in the United States as the Chinese app becomes majority-owned by American interests through a new joint-venture company. The deal involves ByteDance selling TikTok's U.S. operations to a consortium of American investors, with Oracle tasked to retrain the formerly Chinese-controlled algorithm "from the ground up" to create a separate, more secure version for U.S. users. Trump revealed he had discussed TikTok with Chinese President Xi Jinping, saying "he gave us the go-ahead," while Vice President JD Vance noted there was "some resistance on the Chinese side" but Trump helped "usher this deal over the finish line." The new company will be operated by a seven-member board of directors with national security and cybersecurity credentials, with ByteDance choosing only one director and being excluded from the company's security committee. Trump credited the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk with bringing TikTok to his campaign's attention, saying Kirk told him "You should go on TikTok" and helped him achieve "record votes with the young voters" during the election.

đź”” Trump Celebrates James Comey Indictment đź””

Former FBI Director James Comey was indicted by a grand jury on two felony counts, alleged false statements within the jurisdiction of the legislative branch, and obstruction of congressional proceedings. The charges stem from Comey's testimony during his Sept. 30, 2020, Senate Judiciary Committee hearing about his handling of the original Trump-Russia probe known as "Crossfire Hurricane." The indictment alleges that Comey obstructed a congressional investigation into the disclosure of sensitive information and made false statements when he claimed he did not authorize someone at the FBI to be an anonymous source.

President Trump reacted swiftly to the news, declaring on his Truth Social account, "JUSTICE IN AMERICA! One of the worst human beings this Country has ever been exposed to is James Comey, the former Corrupt Head of the FBI." Trump told reporters that Comey "placed a cloud over the entire nation" with the bureau's "Crossfire Hurricane" probe and called him "a very corrupt person" who was "absolutely a terrible man for what this country stood for." The president added that the Russia investigation "made it very difficult" and "could have caused wars," describing it as making "Watergate look like peanuts."

Attorney General Pam Bondi emphasized that "no one is above the law" and said the indictment reflects the Department of Justice's commitment to holding those who abuse positions of power accountable for misleading the American people. FBI Director Kash Patel declared that the FBI took "another step in its promise of full accountability," stating that "for far too long, previous corrupt leadership and their enablers weaponized federal law enforcement, damaging once proud institutions and severely eroding public trust."

The charges were brought by newly appointed U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan in the Eastern District of Virginia, who replaced Erik Siebert and sought an immediate indictment before the statute of limitations could expire. Halligan described the charges as "a breach of the public trust at an extraordinary level," emphasizing that congressional oversight depends on "a forthright presentation of facts from executive leadership." Comey will turn himself in and his arraignment is set for October 9.

The indictment follows years of investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe. Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation concluded in March 2019 with no evidence of criminal conspiracy or coordination between the Trump campaign and Russian officials during the 2016 presidential election. Special Counsel John Durham later found that the FBI "failed to act" on a "clear warning sign" that the bureau was the "target" of a Clinton-led effort to "manipulate or influence the law enforcement process for political purposes."

Political reactions to the indictment were fierce. U.S. Senator John Cornyn noted that "Comey's accountability for FBI abuses during the first Trump term are long overdue," while Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller called it "a long-awaited correction to years of corruption and cover-ups." Democrats condemned the charges as politically motivated, with Senator Tim Kaine denouncing what he called a "malicious prosecution" and Senator Mark Warner warning of "a dangerous abuse of power."

In response to his indictment, Comey posted a video on Instagram acknowledging that his family has "known for years that there are costs to standing up to President Donald Trump." He declared, "We will not live on our knees and you shouldn't either," and maintained his innocence, saying "My heart is broken for the Department of Justice, but I have great confidence in the federal judicial system and I'm innocent, so let's have a trial and keep the faith."

The charges against Comey represent a significant moment in the ongoing political reckoning over the Trump-Russia investigation, with Trump and his allies viewing the indictment as vindication of their claims about the "Russia hoax." If convicted, Comey faces up to five years in prison for what prosecutors describe as serious offenses committed by someone who held one of the nation's highest law enforcement positions.
