🇺🇸 Trump Called Police On Epstein in 2006
Hey Patriots,
President Trump is signaling a major shift in U.S. nuclear policy. He has directed America’s top nuclear experts to begin work on a new, modernized arms control treaty, instead of extending the current New START agreement set to expire next year.
Trump called New START “badly negotiated” and claimed it has been violated, arguing it no longer serves U.S. interests. The president wants a stronger deal that reflects today’s threats and lasts well into the future.
The White House says no final decision has been made, but Trump is clear: the next treaty must be tougher, smarter, and include China. It’s a bold move aimed at restoring leverage, strengthening deterrence, and putting American security first.

President Trump allegedly reached out to the Palm Beach Police Department in the mid-2000s to thank investigators for pursuing Jeffrey Epstein while warning them that Ghislaine Maxwell was "evil" and they should focus on her, according to FBI documents from a 2019 interview with the department's former chief. The document recounts former Chief Michael Reiter telling federal officials that Trump called saying "thank goodness you're stopping him, everyone has known he's been doing this," specifically referring to Epstein as "disgusting" and identifying Maxwell as Epstein's operative.
Meanwhile, Trump threatened to block the opening of the Gordie Howe International Bridge connecting Michigan and Canada unless Ottawa negotiates on tariffs and American product exclusion. In a lengthy Truth Social post, Trump accused Canada of taking advantage of the United States through unfair trade practices and cozying up to China, saying he would not allow the bridge's opening as leverage to bring Canada to the negotiating table.

🌉 Trump Threatens to Block Canada Bridge Opening
Trump threatened to prevent the opening of the Gordie Howe International Bridge connecting Detroit and Windsor unless Canada negotiates with Washington on tariffs and the exclusion of American products. He accused Canada of moving forward with bridge construction using virtually no U.S. content despite the Obama administration giving Canada a waiver to bypass the Buy American Act. Trump said Canada expects him to permit them to take advantage of America while Ontario prohibits U.S. spirits, beverages, and alcoholic products from their shelves. He warned that Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney wants to make a deal with China, which Trump said will eat Canada alive and could lead to the termination of all ice hockey being played in Canada. Trump stated he will not allow the bridge to open until the United States is fully compensated for everything provided and Canada treats the U.S. with fairness and respect.
💰 Democrats Reject Trump's DHS Funding Proposal
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries rejected the White House's counter-offer to avert a Department of Homeland Security shutdown. The Democratic leaders stated that Republicans shared an outline of a counterproposal which included neither details nor legislative text. They called the initial GOP response incomplete and insufficient in terms of addressing concerns about ICE's conduct. Democrats' prime objective is reining in Immigration and Customs Enforcement following the fatal shootings of Alex Pretti and Renee Nicole Good, with their proposal including items Republicans consider a bridge too far such as requiring ICE agents to get judicial warrants, unmask, and have identification ready. Senate Majority Leader John Thune said he would likely introduce another short-term funding extension with lawmakers set to leave Washington on Thursday for a weeklong recess.
⚖️ Senate Accelerates Trump Judge Confirmations
The Senate confirmed 33 judges since the start of Trump's second term, a figure that dwarfs the number of total judicial nominees moved through the upper chamber during his first term when 19 Article III nominees were confirmed in the first year. Trump sounded off on the blue slip practice arguing that as a Republican President, he is unable to put anybody in office having to do with U.S. attorneys or judges. Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley modified the tradition in 2017 to allow circuit court judges to skirt the process, further boosting the number of judges Republicans were able to confirm under Trump despite Democratic objections. Senator Thom Tillis warned that nuking the blue slip would be a huge mistake, arguing that the blue slips are a valuable tool of the minority that the GOP would inevitably need when Democrats regain control of the upper chamber. Grassley told reporters that maintaining the blue slip doesn't need to be a present question because it's a question of 110 years and everybody in the Senate wants to maintain it.
🏭 Trump EPA to Repeal Obama Climate Finding
EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin is set to eliminate the Obama administration's 2009 endangerment finding that identifies six greenhouse gases as posing a threat to public health and welfare, which Zeldin hailed as the largest act of deregulation in the history of the United States. The final rule will eliminate requirements to measure, report, certify, and comply with federal greenhouse gas emission standards for motor vehicles, though the rollback does not yet affect power plants or oil and gas facilities. Trump is expected to hold an event at the White House on Wednesday with Zeldin and Energy Secretary Chris Wright to announce a new initiative for the Department of War to purchase electricity from coal-powered plants. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum stated that energy abundance is what the administration must focus on rather than regulating certain forms of energy out. The Washington Coal Club is set to name Trump the "Undisputed Champion of Coal" during the event.

🔔Trump Reportedly Called Police About Epstein in 2006 🔔
An FBI document recapping a 2019 interview with former Palm Beach Police Chief Michael Reiter reveals Trump allegedly called the department in July 2006 to thank them for investigating Jeffrey Epstein and warn them about Ghislaine Maxwell. The FBI document, among millions of files and photos released by the Justice Department following Trump's signature on the Epstein Files Transparency Act in late 2025, recounts Reiter telling federal officials that Trump called him expressing gratitude for stopping Epstein.
Trump allegedly told the police chief that "everyone has known he's been doing this," referring to Epstein's sexual abuse of minors, and described the financier as "disgusting." The document states Trump warned Reiter that Maxwell was "Epstein's operative" and that "she is evil and to focus on her," according to the FBI summary of the interview. Trump also told Reiter he had been around Epstein once when teenagers were present and said he "got the hell out of there," according to the document. The FBI document indicates Trump was "one of the very first people to call" when word spread that police were investigating Epstein.
Reiter's interview with the FBI took place in October 2019, just two months after Epstein's death by suicide in his Manhattan jail cell. The document also confirms Trump's long-standing claim that he threw Epstein out of his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach during the early 2000s. Trump told Reiter that "people in New York knew Epstein was disgusting," according to the FBI's summary of the police chief's account. Reiter served as Palm Beach police chief from 2001 to 2009, overseeing the department when it began investigating Epstein in 2005 following a call about a 14-year-old girl allegedly molested by the financier. The investigation ultimately uncovered multiple similar sexual abuse allegations against Epstein.
A Department of Justice official pushed back Tuesday, telling reporters the office was "not aware of any corroborating evidence that the President contacted law enforcement 20 years ago." The Miami Herald reported that Reiter confirmed to their outlet he was interviewed by the FBI in 2019 and that Trump called the police department regarding Epstein in July 2006. Reiter's name was redacted from the FBI document, but the Miami Herald identified him based on his position as police chief during the investigation.
Trump has consistently maintained he ended any ties to Epstein in the early 2000s after details of the financier's sex trafficking and pedophilia circulated. Epstein was convicted of sex trafficking minors in 2008 and served just over one year under a controversial plea agreement that included work-release arrangements. He was arrested again in 2019 on sex trafficking charges before his death in custody. The FBI document was released as part of the Justice Department's latest batch of Epstein files on Jan. 30, following Trump's November 2025 signature on legislation requiring the release. Maxwell's lawyer called on Trump to grant her executive clemency so she could speak "honestly" about what she knows, hours after the document came to light.
Earlier Monday, Maxwell repeatedly refused to testify before a House committee investigating the Epstein matter. Trump has not been accused of any crimes by Epstein's victims and has denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.
