🇺🇸 Trump’s Successful DC Cleanup

In partnership with

Happy Friday, Patriots!

President Trump hit the streets of Washington, D.C. last night—not from behind a podium, but shoulder-to-shoulder with police officers and National Guard troops who are cracking down on crime in the capital.

Trump praised their work, calling D.C. “like a different city” after just 10 days of his federal takeover. Murders have dropped to zero in the past week — something the city hasn’t seen in years.

This is Trump keeping his promise: law, order, and pride in America’s capital.

President Trump's efforts to cleanup the nation's capital are proving to be an overwhelming success. In just over a week, violent crime has dropped 22 percent, the city recorded its first murder-free week in months, and law enforcement has made over 630 arrests. In one week, Trump has accomplished more in combating crime in the city than Democrat leadership has been able to do in decades.

Meanwhile, California Governor Gavin Newsom continues to keep himself in the headlines, this time for threatening physical violence against President Trump and Republican officials during a podcast appearance. Not a good look, but the left continues to support him and his rhetoric. Also this week, Trump is starting the deportation process for over 86,000 illegal immigrants who were left in limbo during the Biden administration. Just another day of progress as President Trump works to restore America to its full potential.

Check out all the latest developments and more below!

⚖️ Appeals Court Overturns Trump's $364 Million Fraud Penalty
A New York appeals court panel of five judges threw out the massive civil fraud penalty against President Trump, ruling that the original verdict secured by New York Attorney General Letitia James was "excessive." The Appellate Division determined that the fine, which could have cost Trump over half a billion dollars, violated the Eighth Amendment of the United States Constitution as an excessive punishment. Judges Dianne Renwick and Peter Moulton wrote that while the court's injunctive relief was "well crafted," the disgorgement order directing Trump to pay nearly half a billion dollars to New York State was unconstitutional. Judges ruled the penalty was "cruel and unusual," violating the Eighth Amendment. The ruling represents a significant victory for Trump against what the article describes as "lawfare" waged against him before his 2024 election victory.

🛂 Trump Initiates Deportation Process for 86,000 Illegal Aliens
President Trump's United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has initiated deportation proceedings for tens of thousands of illegal aliens who had been left in legal limbo by the Biden administration, issuing about 86,500 Notices to Appear (NTAs) since Trump took office. USCIS Director Joseph Edlow explained that under the Biden administration, the agency "had no policy" on NTAs, leaving denied applicants "in limbo" with "nothing happening" when they failed to secure immigration benefits. Under Trump's policy, individuals who are denied immigration benefits are now given a Notice to Appear and sent to immigration court for deportation proceedings. Nearly 60,000 of the 86,500 NTAs have been issued in recent months, showing a significant ramp-up in enforcement compared to the 26,700 issued by June. Edlow emphasized that USCIS must have a rigorous NTA policy to prevent hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens from living in legal limbo, ensuring cases are resolved either through relief from an immigration judge or removal from the country.

🥊 Newsom Threatens to Punch Trump and Republicans "In the Mouth"
California Governor Gavin Newsom threatened to punch President Trump and Republicans "in the mouth" during an appearance on "The Siren Podcast," calling them "sons of bitches" in what could best be described as his "best Joe Biden imitation." Newsom accused Trump of following "Putin's playbook" and claimed Putin gave Trump advice about mail-in balloting, calling Trump an "invasive species" who took over the Republican Party. The California governor criticized Republican officials for "cowering" to Trump and called the administration's actions "radical rigging" that is "destroying" and "vandalizing" democracy and the rule of law. Newsom also criticized Trump's use of the National Guard and Marines to address rioting and violent crime, describing it as "militarizing American cities." Biden frequently made similar threats against Trump before expressing regret. Trump has survived at least two assassination attempts while Republicans have also been targeted for political violence.

🚀 Russian Hits US Company During Trump's Ukraine Peace Push
Russia launched one of its largest overnight strikes since the war began, unleashing 614 drones, ballistic and cruise missiles across Ukraine, killing one person and injuring dozens while destroying an American-owned electronics company less than an hour from two NATO borders. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the strike on the U.S. company Flex Ltd., which involved "several" cruise missiles, was "very telling" following President Trump's attempts to force Moscow to end its invasion. The Texas-based company's facility in Mukachevo, Zakarpattia region, produces only civilian consumer goods like coffee machines and does not manufacture any military equipment or defense-related components, according to a company spokesperson. Fifteen people were injured in the strike on the city located just 30 miles from NATO nations Hungary and Slovakia, with six individuals remaining hospitalized and receiving medical care. Trump acknowledged uncertainty about Putin's willingness to negotiate, stating "It's possible that he doesn't want to make a deal" and that "We're going to find out about President Putin in the next couple of weeks."

đź”” Trump’s Successful D.C. Cleanup đź””

President Trump's comprehensive crackdown on Washington D.C. crime has produced dramatic results within weeks of implementation, with violent crime dropping 22 percent and the city recording zero homicides over a seven-day period for the first time in months. Trump invoked section 740 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act, placing the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department under direct federal control and activating the National Guard to combat what he described as a capital city "overtaken by violent gangs and bloodthirsty criminals, roving mobs of wild youth, drugged-out maniacs and homeless people." The president mobilized 800 D.C. National Guard troops initially, with additional forces arriving from Ohio, West Virginia, South Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee to support the federal operation.

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that law enforcement has made 630 arrests and seized 86 illegal guns in less than two weeks since the federal takeover began. The operation netted 53 arrests on a single Wednesday, including 24 Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrests and ten guns removed from the streets, while U.S. Marshals helped recover a missing child during their operations. Trump personally engaged with the enforcement effort, conducting a patrol with Metropolitan Police and National Guard forces while telling radio host Todd Starnes, "I'm going to be going out tonight with the police and with the military, of course."

The president celebrated the early success during a dinner he hosted for law enforcement officers and National Guard members at the United States Park Police Headquarters in Anacostia, bringing pizza and hamburgers while thanking them for doing "an amazing job." Trump, accompanied by Attorney General Bondi and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, told the assembled officers that "the numbers are down like we wouldn't believe" and proclaimed that D.C. has become "like a different place" and "like a different city." Vice President JD Vance reported that the first nine days of federal control produced a 35 percent drop in violent crime and a 50 percent drop in robberies, while carjackings plummeted by 83 percent according to local police union statistics.

Beyond immediate enforcement, Trump outlined ambitious plans to physically restore the capital city, announcing he will seek Congressional funding to "redo a lot of the pavement, a lot of the medians" while removing graffiti and installing "brand new surfaces down on your roads and streets." The president emphasized that his restoration efforts extend beyond crime reduction to comprehensive urban renewal, describing the work as "cleaning, and fixing, and redoing" rather than new construction. U.S. Attorney for D.C. Jeanine Pirro has implemented prosecutorial changes aligned with the federal takeover, announcing that people carrying rifles or shotguns in D.C. will no longer face automatic felony charges, citing Supreme Court gun rights rulings.

The policy shift means federal prosecutors will focus resources on cases involving violent crimes with firearms or defendants with criminal records, while continuing to "seize all illegal and unlicensed firearms" and "vigorously prosecute all crimes connected with them," according to Pirro's office. Trump's spokesman noted that Pirro "has made it clear that the old way of doing things is unacceptable" and directed staff to "charge the highest crime that is supported by the law and the evidence." The comprehensive approach has drawn criticism from progressive politicians, including Minnesota Governor Tim Walz's daughter who called the crackdown "bitch baby, wussy, scaredy cat behavior," while Representative Nancy Pelosi dismissed the actions as merely serving as a distraction.

The measurable success of Trump's D.C. transformation demonstrates the effectiveness of coordinated federal intervention in addressing urban crime, with the capital achieving murder-free weeks not seen since earlier in the year while substantially reducing multiple categories of violent crime through enhanced law enforcement presence and prosecutorial reform.

🏅 The Pentagon has created a new Mexican Border Defense Medal for U.S. troops serving with Joint Task Force Southern Border, replacing the Armed Forces Service Medal previously awarded for supporting Customs and Border Protection at the southern border. Service members must have deployed since January 20 to support CBP and served within 100 nautical miles from the international border with Mexico in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona or California for 30 consecutive or nonconsecutive days to be eligible. Approximately 8,500 military personnel are assigned to Joint Task Force Southern Border and have completed approximately 3,500 patrols between March and July under Trump's border security operations.

âš˝ President Trump warned California and Governor Gavin Newsom about the state's transgender policies after transgender athlete AB Hernandez began playing girls volleyball for Jurupa Valley High School, prompting Riverside Poly High School to forfeit rather than compete against the team. Trump posted on Truth Social that "Any California school district that doesn't adhere to our Transgender policies, will not be funded," referencing his executive order signed in February banning biological males from competing against females. The U.S. Justice Department filed a lawsuit against the California Interscholastic Federation and California Department of Education over policies allowing biological males to compete against females, which counters Trump's "No Men in Women's Sports" executive order.

đź’° Trump's tariff revenue has reached $158.3 billion for the fiscal year, with July recording the highest monthly total at $29.6 billion, surpassing 2024 levels within just a few months of implementation. Tariff revenues rose steadily from $17.4 billion in April to $23.9 billion in May, climbing to $28 billion in June before peaking at $29.6 billion in July, with the U.S. potentially collecting as much revenue in four to five months as it did over the entire previous year. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent anticipates revising this year's tariff revenue estimate "substantially" above the previous $300 billion projection and said the White House is considering using some revenue to address the nation's $37.2 trillion debt.

⚖️ The Supreme Court ruled 5-4 to allow the Trump administration to slash more than $783 million in National Institutes of Health research grants tied to diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and LGBTQ issues, overturning lower court rulings that had blocked the cuts. The unsigned majority order permits NIH to "proceed with terminating existing grants" while leaving in place a partial block on issuing new directives, delivering a political win for Trump's broader push to roll back DEI programs across the federal government. The Justice Department argued that leaving the injunction in place "forces NIH to continue funding projects inconsistent with agency priorities" and warned it "intrudes on NIH's core discretion to decide how best to allocate limited research funds."

📺 President Trump slammed MSNBC's rebrand to "My Source News Opinion World" or MS NOW in an all-caps Truth Social post, calling the network a "FAILURE BY ANY NAME" and saying they were changing their name "to get away from the stench of their fake news product." Trump attacked Comcast owner Brian Roberts as "dopey" and said the company was "hopelessly and aimlessly flailing in the wind in an attempt to disassociate itself from the garbage that they created." The name change is part of MSNBC's Comcast spinoff under new company Versant, with Mark Lazarus stating they hoped to reduce "brand confusion" while continuing to cater to a progressive audience.
