Questions swirl as Inauguration ceremonies moved indoors
Inauguration Weekend Begins With Drama

Who had ‘Inauguration venue change’ on their 2025 bingo card? I sure didn’t.
I’m writing this edition of the “Trump Tracker” from 30,000 feet in the air on my way to Washington D.C. to see the Inauguration of our 47th President!
However, it looks as if the plans for the week have taken a bit of a turn…
On Friday, the political world was shaken when it was announced that, for the first time in 40 years, the Presidential Inauguration would be held indoors due to dangerously cold temperatures sweeping the area.
While it is going to be extremely cold, could there be more to the story?
Before we get into that, here’s what President Trump had to say about the venue change:

While the venue change makes sense due to the frigid temperatures in D.C., many commentators on the right breathed a sigh of relief because they feared for Trump’s safety if the event was held outside.
A few weeks back, Dan Bongino sounded the alarm, saying:
“I feel an obligation to put it out there — I think the Secret Service, along with The FBI are lying to this transition team. This transition team knows it. And unfortunately there's nothing they can do until they formally take power in two weeks. Donald Trump is gonna be sitting there exposed at the inauguration”
Here was his response after the decision made this morning:

Thankfully, it appears President Trump is going to be far safer indoors.
This will be the first Presidential Inauguration held indoors since Ronald Reagan in 1985

Ronald Reagan’s second inauguration took place on January 20, 1985, in a private ceremony at the White House, with Chief Justice Warren E. Burger administering the oath. The next day’s public inauguration faced historically cold temperatures, so the formal ceremony moved indoors to the Capitol Rotunda.
Safety concerns forced cancellation of the traditional outdoor swearing-in on the Capitol’s West Front and the inaugural parade.
Despite these changes, Reagan delivered his address indoors before a reduced audience. The events captured national attention due to the cold and venue adjustments. His second term began under frigid conditions seldom experienced on Inauguration Day.
And now, President Trump’s Inauguration will take place indoors exactly 40 years to the date.
That’s all for today, please come back tomorrow for ‘Prologue II’.
Then, Monday, January 20th will be “Day 1” of 1,461 of Trump’s final term
God bless, and I will talk to you very soon!
