💰 DOGE Officials Spotlight Government Reform 💰

Last night, members of President Trump’s DOGE joined Bret Baier on Fox News’ Special Report to show how they are fixing the broken federal government. From cracking down on waste to protecting Social Security, their message was clear. Government is finally working for the people again.

Tom Krause kicked off the segment by exposing the scale of government dysfunction. There is $500 billion of fraud every year, Krause said. If I was a public company CFO, I would effectively be removed. He said the culture in Washington is changing fast under President Trump’s leadership.

Aram Moghaddassi highlighted one of DOGE’s top priorities, reforming Social Security. Forty percent of the phone calls they get are from fraudsters, he said. DOGE is working to protect legitimate recipients and improve the experience for those who rely on their benefits.

Elon Musk revealed how deep the fraud goes. He reported that over $300 million in Small Business Administration loans went to people under age 11, including a nine-month-old baby. Another $300 million went to people over 120 years old. The sheer amount of waste and fraud is mind blowing, Musk said.

Brad Smith addressed the mess inside government health care. NIH has 700 different IT systems that cannot communicate with each other, and 27 separate chief information officers. That dysfunction is stalling medical progress.

Joe Gebbia outlined efforts to streamline government retirement programs, promising to cut wait times from months to just days.

Musk ended with a message of hope. America will be solvent. The critical programs that people depend upon will work. And it is going to be a fantastic future.

Danish officials, including Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, have opposed the U.S. interest, emphasizing Greenland's importance to Denmark and NATO. 

💥 A magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck central Myanmar, with tremors felt as far as Bangkok, Thailand. In Bangkok, a 30-story building under construction collapsed, resulting in at least three deaths and 81 individuals trapped under the rubble. Myanmar has declared a state of emergency in six regions, reporting multiple casualties and significant infrastructure damage. Rescue operations are underway in both countries as authorities assess the full extent of the disaster.

🇮🇹 Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said Italy does not need to choose between the U.S. and Europe, emphasizing her support for the entire Western alliance. She voiced confidence that Vladimir Putin would honor any Ukraine peace deal signed with President Trump, but only while Trump is in office. Meloni also backed efforts to extend security guarantees to Ukraine without full NATO membership.

🗳️ U.S. Representative Byron Donalds has officially launched his campaign for the 2026 Florida gubernatorial race. Donalds enters the race with the endorsement of President Donald Trump, positioning himself as a prominent contender to succeed Governor Ron DeSantis.

💲 ​Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves has signed legislation initiating the gradual elimination of the state's income tax, aiming to reduce the rate to 3% by 2030 and eventually phase it out entirely. The law also reduces the grocery sales tax from 7% to 5% and increases the gasoline tax by 9 cents over three years to fund infrastructure projects. Governor Reeves emphasized that this move allows Mississippians to retain more of their earnings, marking a significant shift in the state's tax policy.
